Who is Elmay?

Hi, I’m Elly White, but most people know me as Elmay. It’s both my artist name and a nickname that feels like me, and it’s stuck as something people remember.

I’m a senior at the Savannah College of Art and Design, majoring in Motion Media Design with a minor in Illustration. My time at SCAD has sharpened my skills and prepared me to step confidently into the industry.
​
After Effects is where I thrive, especially with the puppet tool, which I use to bring illustrations to life with movement and personality.
​
At the core of my work is connection. Each project reflects who I am, my ideas, interests, and perspective. My hope is that my art can bridge worlds and spark genuine connections with the people who experience it.
Industry Experience
I had the honor of working with companies who lead the creative industry through SCADpro, SCAD's in-house design studio. I also had the amazing opportunity to work as a SCADpro Ambassador, supporting the studio has a motion designer for socials.

These projects pushed me to grow in so many ways, not just as a designer, but as a leader. I learned how to adapt when things shifted, stay organized while juggling a lot of moving parts, and keep projects on track in a way that felt professional and collaborative. Those experiences have shaped the way I approach my work today and how I show up for the people I collaborate with.
